River Boat Trip (written Dec 25)
This morning we got an early start with a lovely boat trip on the Gambia river. Our guide took us way back into the mangroves and, among other things, we saw some really awesome birds (pics below). Dad, the last few are for you ;-)

The more photos I see, the more the Gambia reminds me of Miami and the Everglades. The birds. the mangrove swamps, the flat boats, the mango and banana trees all bring back memories of Miami.
Cousin, this is the first I've read your blog - unreal. I caught up on the past few months of your adventures, you are a crazy and amazing chick! Love ya!
